Gotland Runt (site in English and mostly in Swedish) is the most important regatta taking place in the Baltic Sea. No doubt it is also the most prestigious. It has been celebrated for the last 70 years.
This year, more than 200 boats will take part in this regatta, that leaves the swedish city of Sandhamn, to turn around the island of Gotland.
Our friends at True Heading have been not only been collaborating with the organization of the regatta for the last few years, but also have been participating with their own boat. This year, no less than 98 boats will be carrying our AIS CTRX transponder!!!
The regatta will be broadcasted live by the organization with AIS class B for the first time in the world, and we’ll be in Sandhamn ourselves to tell you more about its development and what kind of atmosphere is in there. Hopefully we’ll be able to upload a few pictures as well.
